{{ Guest Post }}

{{ I am so excited to share with you all my first guest post! This Post is by Jessica Aaron, a very sweet friend of mine. I hope this will help you and encourage you as much as it did me. }}

Yesterday kinda sucked. It was just one of those days where everything seemed to pile up. If you were around me, I sincerely apologize for my crabby attitude.

Anyway, I feel like lately God has been trying (emphasis on trying) to teach me to be joyful. I recently started a Book of Joy, daily writing down a short entry about one thing that brought me joy that day.

Yesterday it was especially hard to find something happy. But I found it anyway. It's so important to remember that just because you're having a bad day doesn't necessarily mean you have a bad life. Bad days come, but God still provides little escapes. This Book of Joy has been such a blessing in helping me remember to thank my Father for the joys he gives me.

I encourage you to record the things that make you happy. Talk about them. Focus on your joys instead of your complaints.
{Psalm 47:1}

Thanks again Jessie, Love you girly!

Y'all. It's. Cold out.

   Well yes, it has been a few days since I last posted! I came down with some kind of sickness and it kind of slowed me down for a few days. I am back at it now, though!
   It's only November and its already freezing outside! Makes me think that we might just have a slightly cold winter. The only good thing about it getting so cold, so soon, is it puts you in the Christmas mood a little sooner then normal. Who doesn't want to be in the Christmas mood, like all the time? It's the most wonderful time of the year, is it not? Okay, moving on, before I start singing Christmas songs to myself!

  Since it's so chilly out, I figured a couple winter looking outfits were only fitting for my post today!

                              {{  First is my more dressed up outfit }}
I'm kind of a lover for skirts, tights, and belts with a long cardigan. They make an outfit very feminine, and I love being a girl, so why not look like it! I'm not sure how great you can see it in the photo, but my scarf and tights are both polka dots and my skirt is some sort of a different pattern, so I guess I'm mixing patterns yet again! Since it's so cold out, I put some warm knee socks on with my boots and tights to keep myself a little warmer. Warm, tall socks and boots are like my two best friends during the winter, keeping you warm and cute at the same time, what could be better! So, stock up on socks this winter! :)

{{ Second outfit is a little more casual }}

Also a friend of mine during the winter, leg warmers, thick scarves, and of course the lovely ear warmers! :D

{{ Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 Peter 5:7 }}
This verse is a real help to me. Some days, just every little thing seems to upset me or just flat out stress me out! This is a great verse to turn to on those days, even though sometimes it takes me till the day after to realize it.
  {When we put our care in his hands, he puts his peace in our hearts}
This quote rings so true in my life, Jesus has peace for all of us, we just have to leave the cares of this world at his feet. :)

Hope everyone is staying warm as possible!

Mixin' Those Patterns

  Well I figure my first few weeks of having the blog I will post like several times a week, then I'm sure I'll slack off a little. But I will do my best to keep up with it! :) I am also very excited for some of y'all to do some guest posts, I'd love to hear from you!

    For my third post I chose to do some pattern mixing! I am a pattern craze.  I love things to be all decked out with prettiness! Something my mother has always taught me is to get the good deals, like shopping the clearance racks, or using a coupon! You always want to get the most for your money. ;) Generally I don't go to the store and by a complete outfit all at once (example, top, bottoms, shoes and jewelry, etc..) I end up coming home and then putting outfits together! In my opinion it makes it more fun. It's like coming home with a new top, and then shopping in your own closet to make an outfit out of it! :) Maybe, I'm just crazy? ;) Anyway, not for sure how that goes with my post, but what's wrong with a little rabbit trailing? oops.. lol

                                           {{ My Mixed Patterns }}

Floral and polka dots! What could be better?! I feel like these are two patterns that never go out of style. I am quite thankful for that, because they are two of my favorites!

 Yet another amazing thing in the world of fashion, is glitter/sparkles! You can truly never go wrong with a little (or a lot of) sparkle:). I threw in my silver sparkly flats, and my matching head band! With some of my favorite light pink earrings.

                        { She leaves a little sparkle everywhere she goes. }
                                { Never let anyone dull your sparkle.}
I love me some sparkle quotes, don't you? Okay, maybe I just love quotes in general. :) One of my favorite parts about seeing inspiring quotes is, wishing I was the one who said it, Jk! But for real, why don't I think of these things?! Anyway, back to my real reason for loving them. Whenever I see a quote I like, I love to think of a Bible verse or just anything in God's Word that it can be related to! When I see sparkle quotes this is one of the verses that comes to mind. :)

{{ Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 }}

You have to have light to make sparkles, sparkle, right? I like to think of our heavenly Father as our light, and we are the sparkles and His love is sparkling off of us. Silly way to put it? Yeah, maybe so! But my main point is to leave a little of Jesus's light (or sparkle;) everywhere you go!

Not much of a pattern mixing person? Or maybe you just want a more casual option, well that's the great thing about patterns, just throw some jeans and comfy shoes on and it looks just as cute!

Hope everyone is having a great week!

Even the little cuties like my niece here can pull off the mixed patterns!

Rainy Day Blues, Anyone?

  It has been raining ever since I woke up this morning, and we all know how that goes...Lots of coffee and staying inside. (if that's an option) But for a lot of us, we must still face the day! Might as well do it with some cute rain boots, right? ;)

  I normally don't ever wear brown, but we can all make exceptions for matching cute shoes! Today I pulled out the rain boots, some skinny jeans, my moms brown scarf, warm tall socks and a nice flowy top and pulled my hair back and I was ready to face the day! I don't know about you all, but sometimes the rain makes it impossible to wear my hair down, so a braid down the side and a (very) messy bun seems to be my solution. Some may call this outfit lazy and some may say, why do you even try on days like today?! Well I have always been the kind of person who really likes to try and look my best anywhere I go. Don't get me wrong, I have plenty of days that I stick with the sweat pants and an oversized sweat shirt, they are just marvelous! So, don't be offended if you're the one with the over sized sweat shirt today. ;)

Of course I have to share my favorite rainy day quote.
{ Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain. -unknown }

I love this quote, because it also can be referred to in the Christian life. Sometimes it seems as Christians we start thinking God has just forgotten about us, or he just doesn't love us anymore when he puts a storm in our life. In reality, he puts those storms there to teach us something and make us better and stronger Christians because of it. When we are facing a storm the best way to deal with it is to draw closer to God through it. And just learn to dance in rain. <3

(Song lyrics)

" Who am I? That the voice that calmed the sea, would call out through the rain, and calm the storm in me. " -Casting Crowns
"Sometimes He calms the storm, other times He calms his child." -The Ball Brothers"

{ The Lord on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, then the mighty waves of the sea. Psalm 93:2 }

Have you ever been to see the ocean? Well if you have you know how loud and big the waves can get! The two times I have been, I am always in awe of how amazing it is!  I mean how does such big waves and great amounts of water come about without a mighty Creator like our heavenly Father? Well, it doesn't happen without His hand in it.
He is so mighty He can calm the sea.  Don't you think He is able to calm the raging storms in our lives? I believe so. And I am so grateful He has calmed so many in my life, when I just simply ask. You know, that's all we have to do is ask, and He will comfort us.  We just have to have faith, that He will. :)

Hope everyone has a great rest of the day, and remember to dance in the rain. :)

Welcome y'all!

 About me? Where do I begin?! I am a young lady just trying to laugh as much as I can and enjoy this huge blessing called life my Savior chooses to give me each and everyday! My goal with this blog is to share my love for fashion (style, clothes those things you put on every day, whatever you choose to call it;) and not only my love for fashion, but my all and all goal is to encourage young (or more mature) ladies with my love for Jesus Christ my Savior! This sounds crazy, I know...fashion and Jesus? What? But yes... they sure can both go together! Dressing to glorify God can be done! Dressing modestly and adorable also can be done! I have been homeschooled all the way through school, I am  now officially a senior! My mother and I have been baby sitting kids off and on for almost 4 years now, so you could say I've had my fair share of taking care of children of all ages! I love to cook and bake. I am also a clean/organized freak, ask my mother, my room pretty much always looks the same! (But I mean we all have those days that we just refuse to make the bed:) I have been blessed with a wonderful Momma and Dad, and three older brothers, who are all married! I have one adorable baby niece and two more little babies (don't know the gender yet) are on the way! My plans for after school are to hopefully start some online classes next Fall and end up with an RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) degree. My hope is to one day work in the OB department in a hospital. My other dreams are to just be a stay at home wife and mommy! But I'm letting God work all that out for me. :)

{ There is your small peak into my life! }

  Do I think I have great style and have it all figured out? NO! Not even close.  I am still learning lots everyday and in everyway! ..Including how to do all this blog stuff. It's a little overwhelming! If you have any advice, feel free to share! Also, if you have fashion tips for me, please share those! Please!

  As I post my love for cute clothes, shopping and fashion I hope to also be able to encourage you that you can live a fun and enjoyable life while also living for your Savior. When it all comes down to it, that should be our main goal in life, to glorify God in all that we say, do and even wear!

  With my blog I would love to get y'all involved! How does that work, you ask? Well, as of right now my idea is for anyone who has something they would like to share with us (examples, an OOTD, an encouraging thought or verse, tips on dressing to glorify God, Great places to shop to find good deals, cute outfits you've found on Pinterest or anything that has been a help to you in your walk with God that you would like to share with others!) can email me your ideas or even a written out post with your thoughts and any photo you have to share! Of course I will have to look these over and approve them, but I'm sure there won't be any problems! :)

 { I will also have my email on the side somewhere, but if you have any questions or things you would like to share just email me at laughalldaybre.whitehouse@gmail.com Yes, my email is way too long, I know! }

   I know all my thoughts are kind of scrambled together here, but I hope that I have at least got the beginning of all my crazy ideas out there!  My thoughts and ideas for this blog are obviously still up in the air, so I'm sure lots will change as I go along.

  Thank you so much for your time.  Feel free to comment with any ideas or thoughts!
